Hello!
I’m typing these first greetings on the March equinox of 2020. Equinox is the time when the hours of light and dark in the sky each day are equal.
As I look around in these novel times, I see the darkness of our shared potential to get lost in fear, anxiety, anger, greed… and at the same time our bright potential to turn toward compassion for ourselves and others, toward wisdom, courage, kindness, generosity, and the many other qualities that uplift and enliven us.
In Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, this is the first day of Spring. Spring is a beautiful time in the northern U.S. where I live. It also is a time of vulnerability. Everywhere I turn, new life is burgeoning. Countless birds and seeds are slowly cracking their securely protective shells and stretching out toward sunlight and nourishment.
My heartfelt wish is that this place will nourish and light your own unique journey of opening and growth… and regularly remind you of your inherent belonging to the whole human family and, indeed, all of Life.
Always with you on the path,
Barbara
